New Woven Shawl
I just finished a new shawl, woven on my Ashford 32-inch rigid heddle loom. The warp is Cottonwood in Monica, and the weft is Exquisite Bamboo in Tawny Birch, both by Fibranatura and both available from The Irresistible Ewe. The drape is lovely and will be light but a warm touch in case the wedding I'm wearing it to is a little chilly. This is my first wearable garment on this loom; the first project became a piano runner for the same wedded couple. The colors play well against each other and the bamboo variation creates its own pattern.
Postscript: I did have a chance to wear this beautiful shawl at the wedding reception, held at the Hotel Figueroa. Here's a picture of me and Henry:
